What to Expect
Visiting a church for the first time can be a daunting task at times. We want your first visit to be an enjoyable one so we'd like to give you a snapshot of what our worship service looks like. We want you to be able to focus on worshipping our Creator and Savior without the fear that can accompany visiting a new place.
We have coffee, water, and sometimes other snacks in the lobby before our service and during our short break.
Our worship service is family friendly and typically lasts around an hour and fifteen minutes. We all start out together; children, adults and everyone in-between all begin together for a couple of songs to prepare our hearts for worship. We also have a reading from the book of Psalms during this time.
After the introduction to our service we take a very brief break where our kids can go nextdoor to their children's class where they do crafts, play games, and most importantly, find out about the God who made them and loves them dearly. Click here to find out more about our children's ministry and classes.
Following the break we worship through the Word as we hear a message centered in the Bible. We usually teach through books of the Bible; sometimes very indepth and sometimes in a more survey fashion, depending on the book and the season. You can hear past messages here.
After the message we have another time of worshipping through music and we also share in communion. You're free to take communion when you like, we only ask that only those who have committed to following Christ share in communion.
If you need prayer or someone to talk to during or following our service we are available. As a church we strive to be the body of Christ, and that includes being there to listen, pray, or answer any questions you may have.
Above all, feel at home as you join us and know that wherever you are in life, you are always welcome to join our family at The Southeast Church.
